Woman Dumps 5 Kittens In A Crate On A Neighbor's Porch, But Thankfully There's A Happy Ending

As people who love cats an almost unhealthy amount, we can understand the thought of someone abandoning their cats. We don't get it. We know that, in some situations, a cat doesn't fit with its new owner, we do get that, but that doesn't mean they should be abandoned. You can find them a different place instead. That's why stories like the one about a person that just left their cat behind when they moved (thankfully, the cat got rescued), or the one about the cat whose owners abandoned it and left it on the streets (don't worry, also got rescued), and even the one when a bomb squad was called to disable a bag that ended up being full of abandoned kittens (who were also rescued) shock us.

Don't abandon your cats. And do what this neighbor woman did either. It is not a solution to dump a closed crate full of kittens on your neighbor's porch. The poor babies wouldn't have stood a chance if this woman hadn't found them in time. Thankfully, this is another story with a happy ending - and a lesson.

"So last Monday morning I took out a bag of trash and found someone had left a crate full of 5 kittens on my patio."

"One shelter suggested I foster them for a week and see if they warm up and have potential to be rehabilitated into house cats. So for right now that's what I'm doing with a back up plan of getting them spayed/neutered and see if we can incorporate them into out local feral colony."
